I posted the following review on Tripadvisor, but I will post it again here as this place is so special … Heavenly & down to earth … As soon as I arrived I was in awe of the beauty and serenity of this retreat property. There is something very special about the energy of the place – all of the elements genuinely emanate good vibes… The surrounding gardens filled with fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, bees and butterflies (I spent hours on a sun lounger under the orange trees). The free roaming chickens, two lazy cats, two sweet dogs and distant sound of goat bells. The big airy manor house full of character (I’ve included some of my photographs of the little touches of charm). The peaceful courtyard shaded by beautiful big trees and dotted with places to relax. The yoga studio. The pool! The list goes on, but without a doubt the best thing about this special place is … the hosts, Torsten and Keith. They are two big hearts on legs. Caring and cooking for their guests is clearly a labour of love. The food and drink was plentiful, nourishing, delicious and all home made. Herbal teas, kefir, jams, curries, salads, fresh bread and special treats like vegan chocolate mousse! True soul food. I didn’t want to leave and really hope to one day return.
